Thick blanket of fog engulfs Delhi, landing operations suspended at IGI airport; rail traffic affected

New Delhi: A blanket of fog covered the national capital as normal life was thrown out of gear on Monday. 

The blanket of fog affected the vehicular movement as well as trains and flight operations in Delhi. 

An official announced that due to the dense fog, at least 28 trains will be arriving late on the destination whereas 10 have been rescheduled. One train has been cancelled due to the poor visibility and other operational reasons in Delhi. 

At the Indira Gandhi Airport, operations of about 12 flights were affected. The landing operations at the Delhi Airport were suspended due to dense fog in the national capital.
