India`s November retail inflation eases to 2.33%, October IIP at 8.1%

New Delhi: Driven by softer food prices India`s retail inflation rate eased to one-and-half year low of 2.33 percent in November as compared 3.31 percent in October, government data showed on Friday.
On the other hand the country's industrial output rose in October to 8.1 percent as compared to 4.5 percent in September, official data showed.
The Indices of Industrial Production for the Mining, Manufacturing and Electricity sectors for the month of October 2018 stand at 107.9, 133.5 and 166.0 respectively, with the corresponding growth rates of 7.0 percent, 7.9 percent and 10.8 percent as compared to October 2017, official data showed.
The consumer price index (CPI) based retail inflation in October was revised upwards to 3.38 percent from 3.31 earlier, the Central Statistics Office (CSO) said. Retail inflation stood at 4.88 percent in November 2017.
