SGPC forms five-member committee to probe Talhan incident
Jalandhar, June 08: In addition to the five member ministerial committee formed by Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh, Shiromani Gurudwara Prabandhak Committee (SGPC) has announced setting up of a five-member committee to probe the Thursday`s clash between the two communities at Talhan.
Jalandhar, June 08: In addition to the five member ministerial committee formed by Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh, Shiromani Gurudwara Prabandhak Committee (SGPC) has announced setting up of a five-member committee to probe the Thursday`s clash between the two communities at Talhan.
``As the issue is connected to a gurudwara, we have decided to appoint the committee to probe the conflict and try to find solution of the dispute between the two communities on the issue of their participation in the managing committee of the gurudwara," SGPC president Kirpal Singh Badungar said yesterday.
The members of the committee include Partap Singh Advocate, Harjinder Singh Dhami, Sarup Singh Dhesi, Ranjit Singh Drouli and Sukhbir Singh, he said, adding that the committee would submit its report to him within seven days.
