Air-India panel to probe passenger`s death
Mumbai, Nov 29: Air-India managing director Sunil Arora has set up a two-member committee to look into all aspects of the medical assistance provided to Satish Uppal, an NRI passenger of the delayed Newark flight, and the circumstances leading to his death last night.

The commercial director V K Varma and medical services director V V Gajre have been asked to submit a detailed report within a week, an Air-India spokesman said here tonight.
The committee members will discuss with the hotel doctor who first attended on him and the doctors of Arogya Nidhi Hospital, where he was later referred to, he said.
The passenger's wife is accompanying the body to Newark tomorrow. The Air-India flight (AI 145) which was to have left yesterday at 7.45 am, finally took off this evening at 5 pm after the Boeing 747-400 developed a major engineering snag. Bureau Report
