Kolkata, July 21: Trinamool Congress chief Mamata Banerjee today unveiled an action plan to gear up the party machinery for the next Lok Sabha election and reiterated that her party would remain in the NDA and fight the polls in alliance with the BJP in West Bengal. "My party is in NDA and it will remain so in future. Our poll alliance with BJP will remain intact," Banerjee said while unveiling the plan to gear up the party with an eye on the next Lok Sabha polls.

Banerjee said that she would urge Prime Minister A B Vajpayee to ensure that Delhi was not the sole venue for NDA meetings. These should be held in other states too so NDA allies "can feel local problems," she said.

The TC action plan to be implemented from the middle of this month till December include a series of block and district level conventions and mass contact programmes, besides TC's state committee and national level meetings, Banerjee said.
Apparently to woo voters belonging to the minority community, Banerjee announced that her party would hold a minorities convention in August.

"The party also has plans to invite the Prime Minister to a joint TC-BJP rally proposed to be organised possibly at the brigade parade ground some time in early December," she said.

NDA convenor George Fernandes and the state BJP president Tathagata Roy, beside the TC MPs and MLAs, attended today's rally.
