Bhopal, Sept 25: After two days of intense parleys, Congress in Madhya Pradesh said it would send candidates panel for the coming state assembly polls to the party high command by September 25.
Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) president Radhakishan Malviya told reporters after the two-day meeting of the Election Committee that candidates' lists for all assembly seats have been finalised except three-four segments.
The seats where candidates are yet to be finalised include Kherlanji in Balaghat district where Republican Party of India (RPI) had fielded its nominees in 1993 as also 1998 assembly elections as part of seat adjustments, he said.
He said the panel from the state is to be examined by the AICC screening committee on September 30 and the Central Election Committee would meet after Dussehra to finalise the list of candidates.

For the remaining seats there are 506 names, including about 60 office bearers, for consideration, while single names have been cleared for about 72 seats.

At least one woman has been selected from every district and the number of women Congress candidates would be more than last assembly elections though the party is not reserving 33 per cent seats for them, he said.
