Shillong, Dec 08: The issues of khasi-Pnar tribes and deal in construction of Meghalaya House in Kolkata are likely to rock the winter session of the state assembly which would begin on December 15. Assembly secretary N S T Khongjee today said the session would continue till December 19 with a holiday on 18th.
The secretariat was yet to receive any bill to be passed during the session, Khongjee said.
Political observers said the issue of Khasi-Pnar people, and the deal in construction of Meghalaya House are expected to storm the House.

About 4000 Khasi-Pnar people had crossed over to Mehgalaya from neighbouring Karbi Anglong district of Assam following threats from Karbi militants over border disputes.

The "illegal"deal in construction of Meghalaya House in Kolkata was a major political issue in the state which saw the fall of the E K Mawlong government in December, 2001.
The winter session would be practically for three and half days only as December 19 being a Friday the house would sit for half of its actual duration.
