Gail presents Rs 228 cr dividend to govt
New Delhi, Oct 15: Gas Authority of India (Gail) on Tuesday presented Rs 227.8 crore to the government as final dividend amount for 2002-03.
New Delhi, Oct 15: Gas Authority of India (Gail) on Tuesday presented Rs 227.8 crore to the government as final dividend amount for 2002-03.
The dividend cheque was paid to Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister Ram Naik by Gail chairman Proshanto Banerjee.
With this, the company has paid Rs 398.63 crore as the total dividend for 2002-03, a Gail release said.
The government holds 67.34 per cent of Rs 845.65 crore paid-up capital of the state-owned gas major.
It recorded Rs 11,775 crore sales turnover in 2002-03 as against Rs 10,553 crore in 2001-02.
Net profit stood at Rs 1,639 crore last fiscal as against Rs 1,186 crore in previous fiscal.
