The study conducted by the researchers of the University College London institute of education, London School of Economics and London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, found that people who have been through a divorce were as healthy as couples in stable marriages, The Guardian has reported.

Dr George Ploubidis, lead author of the study, explained that previous studies have shown that relationship breakdowns can have a negative impact on health as when a person has a lot of transitions in life, he may then have worse health.

Ploubidis further added that as per his recent research he got to know that the health of people who experience separation and divorce does not suffer in the long term as long as they begin another relationship.

The research observed that most of the divorcees bounced back and started new relationships and had a life even after divorce.
