Ekadanta Sankashti Chaturthi Vrat-Significance, Tithi and Timings!
We all know Lord Ganesha is also known as the 'Vighnaharta' (remover of obstacles). But how many of us are aware about fact that every month, there is a day specially dedicated to the Lord known as Sankata Hara Chaturthi.
The Sankata Hara Chaturthi is observed in every Lunar month of Hindu calendar. It falls on the fourth day of Krishna Paksha. Interestingly, if ever this Chaturthi falls on a Tuesday, then it is considered to be very auspicious and goes by the name of Angaraki Sankashti Chaturthi.
Significance:
It is believed by many that on this very day, Lord Ganesha was declared as the supreme god, who is worshipped before anyone else as per Hindu mythology. Also, others believe that Lord Ganesha comes down on the earth and listens to the prayers of his devotees on this very day. So, all the obstacles of Ganesh devotees shall end as lord Gajanana himself comes to the rescue on Sankashti Chaturthi.
