New Delhi, Nov 28: Mercurial forward Dhanraj Pillay, who was rested for the inaugural Afro-Asian Games, was today named in the 30-member probable list for the Azlan Shah Cup Tournament, starting at Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia in January. The probable, who will attend the camp in Delhi and Bangalore before the final selection for the January 8-18 tournament, also include veteran striker Baljit Singh Dhillon and midfielder Baljit Singh Saini, two players who were rested along with Pillay for the Hyderabad Games. The IHF today named five goalkeepers, four full backs, 10 mid-fielders and 11 forwards in the list, which will be held in Delhi from December 5 to 12 and at Bangalore from December 12 to January 5.
Rajinder Singh and Baldev Singh were retained as the chief coach and coach respectively while Sampath Kumar will be the physical trainer. A B Subbaiah will continue as the goal-keeping coach, IHF said in a press release.
