US forces nab Iraqi resistance leader, nine other men
Baghdad, Nov 17: Coalition forces today said they had captured an Iraqi resistance leader blamed for anti-US attacks and nine other men in Habbanyiah, east of the central Iraqi town of Ramadi.

A central command statement named the guerrilla chief
caught last Friday as "Kathim Mohammad Faris also known as Abu
Kaaf ... A former Iraqi special forces officer and a fedayeen
leader" adding that he was responsible for anti-US attacks.
The statement also said Faris was "closely linked" to Khamis Sirhan, who is number 54 on the us army wanted list of 55 former top Iraqi officials.
Also in the Ramadi area, some 100 kilometers west of Baghdad, coalition forces arrested nine men, although there were no details about their possible affiliation to anti-US militant groups.
Weapons and ammunition, among them AK-47 assault rifles, mortars and grenades, were confiscated in the area.
