Mumbai, Apr 29: India`s biggest petrochemical company Reliance Industries Ltd today reported a consolidated net profit of Rs 5,169 crore for the year ended March 31, 2004 compared to a net profit of Rs 4,003 crore for the previous fiscal. The board has recommended a dividend of Rs 5.25 per fully paid-up equity share of Rs 10 each, a company official said here today. Total income for the year under review increased to Rs 53,183 crore compared to Rs 46,786 crore in the previous fiscal. Highlights of the results are as follow:

  • Reliance 2003-04 consolidated net 51.69 bln rupees

  • Reliance to pay 5.25 rupees/share dividend

  • Reliance 2003-04 net 51.60 bln rupees, up 26% on yr

  • Reliance 2003-04 gross turnover 744.18 bln rupees, up 14%

  • Reliance 2003-04 exports up 30% on year at $3.4 billion
