New Delhi, Jan 10: The sports ministry has decided to close the one-man inquiry committee set up to probe the circumstances responsible for distance runner Sunita Rani testing "positive" for a banned substance during the Busan Asian Games. "The decision has been taken in view of the International Association of Athletic Federations and Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) having cleared Sunita Rani of all charges of doping and the OCA deciding to return her medals," an official release said here today.

The decision was taken with the approval of the competent authority, it said. The committee was constituted under the chairmanship of S S Sharma, former secretary, youth affairs and sports, on November 14.
