Jaipur: Eighth Jaipur International Film Festival (JIFF), beginning on January 2 here, will screen 152 films covering 35 countries including India, its founder Director Hanu Roj said today.

Filmmaker Prakash Jha will inaugurate JIFF, Roj told a press conference. The five-day festival will also honour the 'Raajneeti' director with Excellent Achievement Award on the opening day.


JIFF's this year theme is "Dedicated Film Writers", he said. Out of 2176 entries, the experts have selected 675 short film and documentaries, and of which 152 films would be screened. About 90 movies of 35 countries have also found space in the fest.


Besides screening of movies, special session on film making, script writing, direction, and other skills would also be held in which prominent Bollywood and Hollywood personalities will participate, said Roj, who launched an APP of Jaipur International Film Festival (JIFF).
