The 71-year-old Canadian singer, who's best known for hits like "Woodstock," "Both Sides, Now" and "Big Yellow Taxi, was admitted to the hospital here three days ago, reported People magazine.

"Joni remains under observation in the hospital and is resting comfortably," her team wrote in a statement on the singer's official website and Twitter.

"Her progress is encouraging as she continues to improve each day," the statement read further.

She was rushed to an LA hospital and moved into intensive care, where she was "awake and in good spirits," according to an update later that night. P
