Pak to continue military operations against al-Qaeda
Islamabad, Oct 27: Military operations by Pakistan Army against terrorists, having any link with al-Qaeda would continue till they were completely eliminated, Pakistan`s Interior Minister Syed Faisal Saleh Hayat said today.

"We have been very successful during the past two years as part of alliance in combating global terrorism," he told reporters here.
Pakistan's security forces were further upgrading the equipment and tactics required in military operations against the terrorists, he said. About security measures during Ramazan to prevent sectarian violence, Hayat said security had been tightened throughout the country by deputing special law enforcement teams in various areas to monitor the situation.
He said surveillance cameras would be installed in all provincial capitals in the first phase for comprehensive vigilance. About the recent assassination of Sunni extremist leader Maulana Azam Tariq, the minister said the identification of suspects had been verified to the extent that few of them have been arrested.
However, he declined to comment on the number of people detained. Bureau Report
