Moscow, Nov 12: Sharing concerns over growing threats posed by terrorism, India and russia today signed a joint declaration agreeing on a nine-point action plan, including prevention of flow of funds to terrorists and blocking their access to weapons of mass destruction. Strongly advocating speedy u n reforms to reflect current realities, they asked the world body to play a "leading role" in addressing global challenges and sought a "concrete" time-bound action plan under u n aegis for "earliest" restoration of Iraq's sovereignty. The declaration on global challenges and threats to world security and stability, signed by Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee and Russian President Vladimir Putin at the Kremlim resolutely affirmed that there was no place in today's pluralistic and diverse global village for an type of extremist ideology and intolerance. Agreeing to"actively" cooperate with each other and with other countries in anti-terrorist activities, the two leaders outlined a nine-point plan to comprehensively deal with the threat posed by the menace. The measures included preventing the flow of funds for terrorist activities, creation of an environment for total rejection of the scourge and effective implementation of UN Security Council resolution 1373 aimed against those who support, fund or abet terrorists or provide them shelter or asylum to engage in cross-border terrorism.
