Shimla, Nov 29: Tight security arrangements have been made for Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee's visit to Harath village near Solan and Shimla on December one.
Vajapyee would land at Harath and after laying the foundation stone for a heritage centre there, he would leave for Shimla by helicopter. Security personnel have been deployed in strength in and around Harath and the road from Solan to Harath had been repaired, official sources said.
The Prime Minister would arrive at the Raj Bhawan at Shimla after landing at Annandale helipad and meet the press in the evening. He is also scheduled to attend the marriage reception of chief minister P K Dhumal's son.
A high-level meeting was held here this evening under the chairmanship of chief secretary Rajindera Bhattacharya to review the security arrangements for the PM's visit. The meeting was attended by senior police officers of the state and central agencies.
This would be Vajapyee's third visit to Shimla after assuming the office of the Prime Minister.
