Whether you have to go to beach or have to go for an outing with your friends, the neck piece you are going to choose can make or break your look for the day.

Here are a few tips and ideas summed up by Dasgupta:

* Choker: Keeping it unassuming and edgy with a sleek choker and unadorned shoulders is in this season. From international bloggers to even street style fashion aficionados, the choker is back with a bang. To add more complexity to the style, one can layer them with multiple tribal or silver chokers or keep it minimal with just one.

* Folklore jewellery: It has taken a very tribal route this season with heavy African and Indian inspiration through beads, shells, wooden blocks, and oxidised silver. Despite the weight and richness, summer is all about plain white and these tribal neck pieces soar up the oomph quotient a few notch up.

* Lay the layers: Rope style neck pieces are the go-to pieces for layering. Be it for a bare back or a simple traditional kurti, long and layered rope style necklaces serve as a divergence from the barely there outfits.

Taking a cue from the season’s jewellery trend, layering allows you to combine most of them together -- from boho silvers chains to tribal beaded pieces.

* Oxidised jewellery: With pastel being the noticeable focus for the colour trend this season, rusty silver adds the much needed balance and perfection. Pair them up with white peasant blouses and pastel bell sleeve dresses and gladiator flats to reach that high street perfection.
