Washington DC, May 13: President Bush met the Super Bowl champion New England Patriots on Monday. President Bush huddled at the White House on Monday (May 10) for a second time with New England Patriots, winner of two Super Bowls. In January, New England won its second Super Bowl in three years, beating the Carolina Panthers 32-29. President Bush was presented with a Super Bowl commemorative football by Patriots coach Bill Belichick, as he met with the Super Bowl champs. He also received a Super Bowl jersey from Patriots Owner Robert Kraft. Bush, who has come under political fire on a number of fronts recently was more subdued than usual during the ceremony. He joked with the Super Bowl Champions about the chances of them both being at the White House next year. "Congratulations for getting back here to the Rose Garden. My hope of course is that I'm back to see you next year.Your hope is that you come back," Bush said.

The Patriots also met with Bush in 2002 after winning that year's Super Bowl.
