Former ambassador to India is new Foreign Minister of Nepal
Kathmandu, March 04: Former Nepali ambassador to India Bhekh Bahadur Thapa is the new Foreign Minister of the Himalayan kingdom, a statement issued by King Gyanendra`s office today said.

Thapa's appointment today was part of a minor reshuffle in the cabinet in which information and Communication Minister Kamal Thapa was given the additional portfolio of the Home Ministry.
There were no other changes in the eight member cabinet formed on June 11, 2002 and reshuffled on August 04, 2003.
The Opposition had stayed away from the Thapa cabinet saying that he was not appointed with their consent after the sacking of the Sher Bahadur Deuba government on October 04, 2002.
