Jaipur, Nov 06: The Rajasthan government has ordered removal of "titillating and obscene" posters from public places, a senior official said today. "All local bodies - municipal corporations, councils and boards - have been directed to remove posters depicting women in an immodest manner in their respective areas at the earliest," director, local self, G K Tiwari said adding that the decision had been taken to implement the law preventing immodest depiction of women.

Civic bodies have also been directed to include a clause in contracts with private parties for putting up posters and hoardings, specifying that they would not depict women in an immodest manner.
District collectors, deputy collectors and superintendents of police have been made nodal officers for implementing this directive, he said.

The government has also directed the officials in district to create awareness among the masses over the issue by organising discussions and talks.
