Hyderabad, July 16: naxalites were killed and a constable sustained injury in an exchange of fire in the forest area near Mamidlagunta village in Khammam district of Andhra Pradesh today. Police here said, a special police party on combing operation spotted naxals in the forest area, who opened fire at the police. Police returned the fire, killing two naxalites of Praja Pratighatana. They were yet to be identified. A constable identified as Latif was also injured, police said, adding that he has been admitted to a government hospital at Khammam. Bureau Report
