Shimla, June 25: The Himachal BJP would stage a dharna today to protest against victimisation of party workers and indifferent attitude of the Congress government towards problems of the state. After the meeting of state BJP executive, the party chief Jai Krishan Sharma said all the party MLAs and members of the state executive would join the dharna and a memorandum would be submitted to the Governor.
He said performance of the state government and political situation after elections to three tribal assembly seats was reviewed at the meeting.
The state was facing drought like situation and acute drinking water shortage but the state government was just looking helplessly, he said.
About the election schedule of state unit of the party, he said party president would be elected between September 25 and 29 after completing the block, Mandal and district level elections. Bureau Report
