Jammu, Apr 11: Three Pakistani militants were killed in a fierce gunbattle with Army in Udhampur district in Jammu and Kashmir today, official sources said here. On specific information about the presence of militants, troops launched an operation in Praswana this morning and killed three Pakistani ultras in the ensuing encounter, they said. Three AK rifles, 13 magzines, seven grenades, two IEDs and a wireless set were recovered from the scene of the encounter, the sources said. In another operation, police recovered six pistols, six magzines, 32 rounds, one wireless set, 295 AK rounds and a medical kit from a militant hideout in Khenater forest in Poonch district today, the sources said.
Three hand grenades and fuse wires were recovered from Methyani area of Rajouri district in another operation today, they added.
