Jammu, Feb 13: Two heavily armed Pakistanis were shot dead during an infiltration bid by troops near the Line of Control (LoC) in the Bhimber Gali (BG) sector in Poonch district this morning. According to an Army spokesman here, Army jawans manning the LoC saw a group of heavily armed infiltrators trying to enter the country by sneaking into the LoC. When challenged, the infiltrators opened heavy fire from their automatic weapons on the jawans.
In the ensuing gun battle, two infiltrators were killed.
The operation was continuing when reports last came, the spokesman said and added that there was no immediate word on the seizures made from slain infiltrators.
