Kolkata, Dec 15: Altogether 150 Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) activists were today arrested for their attempt to take out a procession at Rajdanga under Kasba area in the southern fringe of the city. Police said that the arrests were made when the RSS activists tried to take out the procession ignoring objection by the police. While the RSS sources said that the police turned down their appeal for permission in this regard at a time when they were not in a position to communicate their activists who had already assembled for today's programme. ''We applied in November seeking permission from the police authority for taking out the procession'', the RSS sources said.
However, police expressed their ignorance about the application for permission. The arrested RSS activists belonged to different age group including the minors, police said.
