Pak, Lanka sign new agreement to fight terrorism
Islamabad, Sept 13: Pakistan and Sri Lanka today signed an agreement to promote cooperation in various fields including fight against terrorism, drug trafficking, human smuggling and policing.

The agreement was signed here by Pakistan's Interior
Minister Syed Faisal Saleh Hayat and visiting Sri Lankan
Interior Minister John Amaratunga.
Under the new agreement both the countries would
jointly address the menace of terrorism and drug trafficking
and would promote cooperation in various other fields, Syed
Faisal Saleh Hayat said.
Both the countries would also exchange information which would help bringing in peace in the region, he said.
The Sri Lankan Interior Minister said this agreement would greatly help in enhancing the relations and cooperation in various fields between the two countries.
