Jammu, July 19: Troops in a state of high alert in Jammu and Kashmir on Friday recovered explosives including five kgs of RDX, and ammunition from a 'nullah' in Kathua district, defence sources said here.
Army personnel were extracting stones from Bei nullah when they came across a bag filled with the explosives and ammunition, they said. The bag contained five kgs of RDX, an under barrel grenade launcher with 17 grenades, over 100 rounds of AK ammunition and some wires.
The explosives are understood to have been brought in from across the border for sobatoge activities in Jammu, they added.
