Hazaribagh, May 28: Close on the heels of the attack on a police station in Jharkhand by People's War, another ultra Left outfit MCC carried out a raid today in yet another police station in the state today, injuring a policeman and looting a large quantity of arms and ammunition. Hazaribagh Superintendent of Police Neeraj Sinha told that over 100 armed activists of the banned Maoist Communist Centre (MCC) ultras attacked Bhawani Nagar police station in Jharkhand's Hazaribagh district this evening.

The MCC activists attacked the police station, about 70 km from here, and opened indiscriminate fire this evening.

A sentry, who was seriously injured in the attack, was rushed to Ranchi for treatment.

The extremists looted five police rifles and a large quantity of ammunition.

People's War activists attacked Ghorabandha police station in East Singhbhum district on the night of May 26 killing a woman and looting some firearms.

On May 25, an armed group of MCC ultras had attacked Simultala police station in Bihar's Jamui district, neighbouring Jharkhand, and looted three rifles and huge quantity of cartridges after injuring two policemen.
