Kozhikode, July 05: Medical students owing allegiance to the Kerala Medicos Association are expected to boycott classes in the state today in support of their charterof demands, according to the association president. The government was ignoring health and education sectors in the state resulting in their exploitation by the private sector, association president M Sajish told reporters here.
Reduction of fees, stopping permission to open new self-financing colleges, recruitment of doctors in government hospitals are some of the major issues that the government has failed to address, he said.
The association would intensify its agitation in case the government failed to accept the demands, he said.
