Bangalore, Oct 17: IT major Wipro on Friday said it recruited 3,091 professionals during the second quarter (July to September 2003) to touch a total work force of 24,265. For the IT services division 1,061 people were added and 2,030 were recruited for IT enabled services division, (Wipro Spectramind), a company statement said.

Of the total 24,265 employees, 15,773 were in IT services division and 8,492 employees in IT enabled services segment.
The company has hired 2,202 professionals for IT services in the first six months, and 3,386 for IT enabled services.
Wipro IT segment includes Global IT services and Products and Wipro Infotech, the India, West Asia and Asia Pacific IT services and Products business. Bureau Report
