Mumbai, Nov 14: Bollywood star Aishwarya Rai is out of Ketan Mehta-Bobby Bedi film ''The Rising'', the Mahurat clap for which was given by Britain's Prince Charles here earlier this month amid much fanfare. ''The managers/agents of Ms Rai and the producers of the film were unable to finalise a mutually acceptable agreement and thus the actress will not be appearing in the film,'' Simone Sheffield of Canyon Entertainment, the US agent of Aishwarya, said in an e-mail communication to a news agency. The mail quoted the actress as saying that even though she would not be starring in 'The Rising', it would be a great success and a very important film.

Ash, as the actress is popularly known, was to play the character ''Jwala'' in 'The Rising'. The film stars Aamir Khan as Mangal Pandey, the Sepoy in the British army who triggered the first war of independence in 1857 and Rani Mukherjee along with several British actors.
Producer Bobby Bedi and Director Ketan Mehta were not available for comment with their respective offices saying they were out of Mumbai and would be returning in a week's time.

Ash will complete shooting for Gurinder Chaddha's ''Bride And Prejudice'' next week in Los Angeles with co-star Martin Henderson of ''The Ring'' fame.
