Dhaka, Jan 04: At least seven people were injured and 30 bamboo-made homes demolished after several wild elephants went on the rampage in southeastern Bangladesh, officials said today. They said at least 10 elephants entered the remote Kumari village in the southeastern Banderban Hill district late Thursday as residents were sleeping.

At least seven people were injured as they fled and the homes were destroyed, the local officials said.
Wild elephants have killed at least 12 people and destroyed homes as well as crops during the past six months in the area, the official BSS news agency said. Bureau Report
