Vellore, June 20: Union minister Pon Radhakrishnan today said that the laws enacted in the country were "our internal matter" and no outsider should comment or interfere in them. Reacting to a statement made by Pope John Paul II in Vatican City earlier this month, where he had decried the enactment of anti-conversion laws in some states, Radhakrishnan told reporters here that it was "our internal matter. No outsider should comment or interfere in our laws of the land".
He was responding to questions from newsmen after inaugurating a 15-day 23rd villager poojaris(priests) training camp at Ariyur, near here.
On the issue of medical expenses of Union minister Murasoli Maran, who is undergoing treatment in the US, he said the Centre would pay the expenses according to the rules and regulations. Bureau Report
