Srinagar, Feb 28: Security forces arrested four ultras in Jammu and Kashmir where two persons, including a militant were killed today in separate incidents, an official spokesman said here today. Police recovered body of an unidentified person from Panzipora-Tarzoo near Sopore in Baramulla district of north Kashmir. The deceased had been shot dead by militants, the spokesman said. He said a militant belonging to Jamiat-ul-Mujahideen (JuM) outfit was killed in an encounter with security forces at Kancha in Doda district of Jammu today. One AK rifle was recovered from the slain militant. Meanwhile, Border Security Force arrested two militants of Harkat-ul-Mujahideen from Srinagar.
Troops of 115 Battalion of the force, in a special raid, arrested Nazir Ahmad Malik and Hila Ahmad Khan from a hideout in downtown Srinagar last evening, a BSF spokesman said. One AK rifle, two grenades, a wireless set and some ammunition were recovered from them, he added.
