Rashtriya Janata Dal president Laloo Prasad Yadav is all set to enter Parliament with RJD parliamentary board clearing his name as a candidate for the bienial election to Rajya Sabha on Sunday. RJD parliamentary party board president Ramendra Kumar Yadavravi announced the name of RJD president as the party's candidate. The presence of Laloo Prasad Yadav is absolutely necessary in New Delhi and hence the party has decided to field him for Rajya Sabha so that he can initiate steps for formation of a popular secular government at the Centre, Yadavravi said. He said that the RJD supremo had also been authorised to select two other party candidates. Talking to reporters at party headquarter after his name was cleared by the RJD parliamentary party board, Yadav said, “My party colleagues want my presence in New Delhi as everything happens in Delhi. If my party colleagues want me to be at the Centre, how can I disappoint them since they have reposed faith in my leadership.” Yadav said that the RJD had decided to support Congress nominee in Jharkhand and for this he was in constant touch with the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) supremo Shibu Soren to garner support for the possible Congress nominee for Rajya Sabha.
