Srinagar, Sept 22: Jammu and Kashmir Agriculture Minister Abdul Aziz Zargar, who had submitted his resignation on September 11 in the wake of allegations that the Akshardham Temple attack was planned at his house in Manzgam village, today attended office. A visiting 16-member delegation of peace, harmony and development chamber of commerce and industry, a leading trade and industry organization of North India, held an interactive session with Zargar and senior officers of the agriculture production department here.

Various strategies were discussed during the interaction to develop agriculture and allied sectors in the state with main focus on revival of traditional silk industry, wood-carving and fruit processing and value addition products, an official spokesman said. The PHDCCI offered its support for marketing of various agriculture products in the country and abroad through its vast network across the world, he said.

A working group would identify areas where PHDCCI would be requested to invest and provide its support to the state.
