Bangalore, Jan 27: Bangalore is emerging as one of the most polluted cities in India. Respiratory diseases are on the rise and the City is slowly losing the tag of ‘salubrious climate’ associated with it.
An opinion poll on vehicular pollution in Bangalore conducted by Research International exclusively for Deccan Herald, brings out a rather grim picture. More than 90 per cent of the people contacted said pollution was affecting the weather, of which 34 per cent felt it was affecting to a great extent and 61 per cent said it was affecting to some extent. “The fact that over a period of time pollution can alter weather conditions is making the citizens perceive the same to be happening with Bangalore weather,” says Research International.
