New Delhi, Oct 07: In the continuing controversy over disinvestment, union coal and mines minister Uma Bharti today said lack of communication between disinvestment ministry and administrative ministries concerned was responsible for the "problems" in the privatisation process. "We have to establish communication between the disinvestment department and administrative ministry concerned", she told reporters, adding the problems in the way of disinvestment were due to mis-communication. Bharti, however, refused to comment on reports of her reported opposition to disinvestment of government equity in National Aluminium (NALCO).

"I will only put forth my views on the subject before the Prime Minister, Deputy Prime Minister and the cabinet" she said adding that she does did not believe in washing dirty linen in public particularly so when there was none. The minister maintained that she was in favour of disinvestment but said that she had a few points to make on the subject which she had made clear to disinvestment minister Arun Shourie. Bharti reiterated that government should see that policy changes benefit the poor man.
