New Delhi, July 15: Veteran BJP leader from Rajasthan, Bhairon Singh Shekhawat appears almost certain to be the party's vice presidential nominee.
Party sources today pointed out to the fact that his name was not in the list of BJP's newly constituted national executive which was an indication that Shekhawat was a strong contender for the post. The partners in the NDA have also said that they would support a BJP candidate for the post.
However, Shekhawat has remained non-commital saying that he would abide by any decision taken by his party and the NDA.

Asked whether the party has finalised Shekhawat's candidature for the post, party spokesman V K Malhotra said, "The NDA has left the decision to Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee."
