Noida, Mar 09: Four armed men struck at a diamond merchant in Noida on the outskirts of Delhi late last night and decamped with cash and jewellery worth lakhs of rupees, police said on Tuesday. The robbers barged into the house of Balbir Shah late last night and after intimidating him and his family members, they tied them up, police said.

Two of the robbers then took Shah's wife along with them at gun-point to their shop at some distance away and looted cash and jewellery items, they said.

The wife was then dropped back at home and all the four robbers fled, police said. The family members were quoted as saying, cash and jewellery worth Rs three lakh was looted but the estimate of the loot is suspected to be much more than that, they said. Bureau Report
