Gangtok, July 14: President of Sikkim unit of BJP K C Pradhan today refuted reports carried by a section of the press here recently that the state unit of the party had been dissolved Pradhan termed the reports baseless and said he had spoken to the party's national spokesman Sunil Shastri in this regard who said there was no such move.
"Moreover, as per the party's norms I would have been intimated if there had been any such move by the central leadership," he added. Pradhan also said that the national president of the BJYM, the youth wing of the party, G Kishan Reddy had endorsed the list of executive members of the party recommended by him through a letter dated July 10.
The BJYM president would not have done so had the state unit of the party been dissolved as reported by a couple of local newspapers, Pradhan argued. He also alleged that this was part of a vilification campaign launched by vested interests to tarnish the image of the party in Sikkim. Bureau Report
