Pune, Oct 13: Stating that Congress would not tolerate any remark against party president Sonia Gandhi, Maharashtra Chief Minister Sushilkumar Shinde today said if NCP `continued to make disparaging remarks against her, then Congressmen will have to think what to do`.

Talking to reporters after presiding over a meeting to review the water scarcity situation in Pune division, he said congressmen would not tolerate any remark against Sonia.
However, nobody other than the Congress high command could decide on the future of the Cong-NCP led DF government, he said.
"Maharashtra has made rapid progress under the DF government. Its economy has improved, more investments are coming in and the state was prospering rapidly,” he said.
On the drought situation prevailing in Pune division, he said the government was making concerted efforts to mitigate the problem.
He said that orders have been issued to fill up the vacant posts in agricultural departments, exemption of educational fees will continue for the students in drought affected areas and work under employment guarantee schemes were being undertaken.
