Beijing, Oct 19: Infosys will open its software development centre in Shanghai early next year to serve as a hub for the company's software services in china as well as in the Asia Pacific region, a senior company executive has said. Infosys has applied to the Chinese government for the setting up of a wholly owned subsidiary in the country and is hoping to complete all formalities soon, Vice President, Ganesh G said.
The China subsidiary will be offering end-to-end software services to domestic companies in China, and multinational companies operating in that country.
It will also serve as a hub for software services in Asia Pacific, Ganesh told reporters on the sidelines of the largest- -ever 'Made in India' industrial exposition organised anywhere in the world by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) here.
The subsidiary will be capitalised at USD 5 million, he said, adding that the proposed software development centre would be established in Shanghai, China's largest city as well as the commercial capital of the communist nation.
