Barcelona, Feb 04: Bern Schneider, who won his fourth DTM title in 2003, after victories in 1995, 2000 and 2001. In his DTM career which started in 1992, Schneider achieved 37 victories, more than any other driver.
Albers won four races and kept the points battle open until the final race finishing runner-up in the championship behind Schneider. Former Formula One driver Alesi won twice in his second DTM season and ended up fifth overall. In 2004, the three manufacturers involved in the DTM enter race versions of their mass production four-door cars. Mercedes-Benz enters 10 of its CLKs, Opel fields eight Astra Coupes and the private Abt Sportsline team runs four of its 'stretched' Audi TT-Rs. The first race of the season takes place at Hockenheim on April 14.
