Bangalore, Mar 13: Deputy Prime Minister L K Advani today advocated synchronous state assembly and Lok Sabha elections, saying that frequent polls were not good for governance. Urging political parties to ponder over the feasibility of simultaneous elections, he told newspersons here that he wished the revival of the election scenario in the early years of independence when four general elections were held between 1952 and 1967 for both the Lok Sabha and the assemblies. Advani also complimented Karnataka Chief Minister S M Krishna for paving the way for simultaneous elections to the assembly,eight months ahead of schedule, along with the Lok Sabha poll.
