Kathmandu, Sept 29: Despite announcing a nine-day ceasefire ahead of Vijaya Dashmi festival, suspected Maoist rebels shot dead a member of Nepali Congress (Democratic) in Lalitpur district last evening, party sources said here. Unidentified persons, suspected to be Maoist rebels pumped three bullets into Rajendra Khatri of Bungmati area in Lalitpur district at around 7:15 pm yesterday, Nepali Congress district president Rudra Sharma said.
