New Delhi, Oct 13: IT education company Aptech Ltd has tied up with Computer Society of India to launch an it literacy programme -- Indian Akshar Mission -- to teach basic skills to over 2.5 lakh people. “The mass literacy mission aims to empower over 2.5 lakh Indian citizens all over the country in 2003-04 and the company, through its brands like Aptech computer education and SSI education will offer it at Rs 499", Sudhir Mathur, senior VP and head, global marketing, Aptech Ltd said here today.
Aptech will offer 10,000 courses free of cost to under-privileged persons across the country and the drive will be carried out through NGOs, Goverment and municipal schools, he said.
Aptech will offer its "Vidya" and SSI education its "connect for beginners" programmes for the mission. Bureau Report
